The requirement.
The requirements for reprocessing dental instruments are defined by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Transfer instruments for "semi-critical" use must be reprocessed after each patient, preferably in a validated, machine disinfection and cleaning process. If an automated reprocessing procedure is not used, manual reprocessing may be chosen, but it must be followed by sterilization of the instruments.
"Critical" transmission instruments in use for periodontal, endodontic and surgical treatments must of course also be finally sterilized after the machine reprocessing prescribed for these cases.
The solution.
This fast autoclave helps you save time and money in the RKI-compliant reprocessing of transmission instruments. Because in only approx. 7 minutes, contra-angle handpieces, prophylaxis instruments and much more can be sterilized quickly and safely between patient treatments.
Using the MELAquick 12+ is the ideal alternative to sterilizing transfer instruments in a common practice autoclave with its inevitably longer operating times. MELAquick 12+ can accommodate up to 12 transmission instruments. The fast operating times enable complete practice hygiene even without the purchase of additional transmission instruments.
