New practice building with new equipment In our beautiful dental practice in Wedemark, we treat our patients primarily in the field of prosthetics and implant treatment and carry out high-quality, conservative restorations. Our practice has been in Elze since 1997. The move to our new premises in January 2015 was used to completely reinvent ourselves once again in terms of setting up the practice and the instrument preparation process.
Why MELAG ? The system solution from MELAG meets our requirements for a practice-optimized workflow from a single source. By purchasing the MELAtherm thermal disinfector, we were able to meet the requirements of the RKI guidelines and save a lot of time at the same time. Before using the MELAtherm, manual instrument preparation involved a lot of work. All instruments first had to be disinfected in the instrument bath and then cleaned under water. The MELAtherm enables us to release the semi-critical instruments directly after automated cleaning and disinfection. By using the MELAtherm, my three employees who have passed the medical device reprocessing test can be much better protected against injuries and infections, especially as the cleaning process is now standardized and validatable. We also appreciate the short program run times of the device, the universal program is completed in approx. 60 min and the instruments can be removed hand-warm thanks to the active drying function. In addition, the integrated process media drawer allows the appliance to be easily integrated into the reprocessing line, giving us more space on the worktop. In the Vacuklav 40 B+, the critical instruments are then sterilized. Here too, the reliable results and short program runtimes are particularly impressive.
Working more efficiently with MELAtrace The process optimization is also due to our new MELAtrace software. The software offers an intuitive and simple solution for documenting and approving the entire treatment process. We use MELAtrace for load management of our MELAtherm and our Vacuklav 40 B+ as well as for batch release and labeling of the sterile goods. The software therefore ensures the necessary legal security in our practice and at the same time helps us to focus on the important tasks: The treatment of our patients.
Our conclusion We are very happy that we opted for the system solution from MELAG. The coordinated operation of the MELAG system makes work much easier for my team. I also benefit from investing in a system provider, because I always have the same contact person available throughout the entire process. In the field of instrument reprocessing, MELAG offers not only first-class equipment but also competent service in the event of queries.
